Six for Rwanda - APPLY HERE!

Atelier Rwanda - Selection for a workshop in Rwanda

The Fondazione Claudio Buziol has organised the selection of six participants for the first "Course on Artisan Methods of Working With Vegetable Fibres", organised by Gaddo Morpurgo, associate professor at Iuav University in Venice. The workshop will take place from 5-19 September 2009 in Kanombe - Kigali, Rwanda at the “San Marco” Centre d’Accueil e de formation, with the participation of the San Marino Cassa di Risparmio Foundation – SUMS and Soroptimist. There are six place for graduates or undergraduates in design disciplines who, at the time of selection, are no more than 30 years old. Selection will take place in Venice at the headquarters of the Claudio Buziol Foundation in July 2009.

ALIZETA PROGETTI SOLIDALI ONLUS

Mercoledì 10 Febbraio 2010 alle ore 18.30 presso la Casa del Cinema (San Stae, Palazzo Mocenigo 1990, Venezia ) inaugura la mostra di fotografie di Stefano Violante, Un progetto per Toécé, che resterà aperta fino al 6 marzo. “Un racconto senza enfasi di difficoltà e successi, che attraverso questa mostra, vuole condividere la problematicità di questi interventi. Negli scatti di Stefano Violante ritroviamo i volti e la profonda umanità  degli abitanti del villaggio di Téoccé, i cieli violenti e le atmosfere di questo paese”.


L’intero ricavato della vendita delle fotografie sarà devoluto in beneficenza.

THE SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS OF NEW YORK IN ITALY FOR MASTERS WORKSHOP!

This summer, spend two weeks in Italy, the birthplace of Western typographic tradition at the Masters Workshop in Design History, Theory and Practice, organized by the School of Visual Arts of New York.
Venice: May 30 – June 5, 2010, in collaboration with the Fondazione Claudio Buziol


Rome: June 9 – 12, 2010, in collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome
    •    Immerse yourself in Italian culture
    •    Daily courses on food, type and design
    •    Field trips to museums, ancient sites, letterpress printing shops and design studios
    •    Metal type and woodtype workshops with Italian faculty
    •    Produce projects for publication
