Fondazione Claudio Buziol - Opportunities
Claudio Buziol Chair, Fashion Design Degree Course
The Fondazione Claudio Buziol has established three-year chair at the Iuav University of Venice, to promote experimentation, research and studies into fashion and new trends.
Once they have passed the entrance exam (60 places each year), the students on the Fashion Degree Course at the Faculty of Art and Design at Iuav University, Venice, have a well-equipped centre with design, modelling, planning and research studios. The course began three years ago at the Treviso centre and has an international staff of lecturers made up of professors and professionals. The teaching programme has experimental workshops in design and research and courses on theory and criticism. During the three years the students learn techniques and fundamental knowledge to allow them to design clothes, accessories and learn about communication. The aim of the course is to train a new generation of creatives able to imagine, plan and create a collection, use different tools and languages critically and reflect on fashion as a cultural system.

THERE IS NO ROAD - (The Road Is Made By Walking) - LABoral
THERE IS NO ROAD (The Road is Made by Walking) is a contemporary arts exhibition featuring moving-image and other works by twelve international artists, approximately half of which will be new commissions that will be shown for the first time at LABoral, Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. Taking its cue from the famous lines of the poet Antonio Machado, THERE IS NO ROAD consists of a range of artists’ projects that record or evoke a series of actual or imaginary journeys, either through the local landscape of Asturias, or through a comparably remote and mountainous terrain. 12.12.2008 – 16.03.2009
